Control your computer with your mind

Recommended Posts

I remember there was this thing that you would put your index finger and you could control a skier going down a mountain with your mind (you would think left and it would be go left, it worked better if you physically looked left). This was a long time ago at a computer store, does anyone remember this or have any information about this? I remember there were several other games that supported it and it looked interesting.

EDIT: Ok this looks like it, pretty interesting eh? http://www.altered-states.co.nz/mind/minddriv.htm i remember using this, it actually works and look at the system requirements, its a serial port too... wonder if this technology has been improved since then

haha, what a load of bullsh!t. If it actually worked, they would say HOW it worked rather than using random big words to confuse you.

Some pretty accurate technology has been developed to read mind waves that can at *least* perceive intentions to move left, right, various limbs, whatever.

Personally haven't heard of it in videogames, and believe it's been able to get far more accurate fairly recently (hitting 95% accuracy now, and separate from eye movements?), but yes, at the least, the technology does exist and continues to be very legitimate research, primarily as can be applied to paralyzed folk who maintain fully functioning minds otherwise.
