Parsout
Could it be this? If not, then you could try old school Windows 98 style and put a folder.htt and desktop.ini into each folder? :)
whack
I can get it to work in my documents and in my pictures which are the only two folders he has in his pic but standerd folders just don't seem to want to go. If you copy the desktop.ini and the Folder Settings Directory into you my documents directory and then close and open it they should work there. But when I do that on other directoies it just wont go and on top of that I noticed that if you have the desktop.ini in the folder and you go to folder properties and the customization tab it has an option saying "use existing customization template" in the "What kind of folder do you want?" area but that still won't do it I also tried mdifying the destop.ini file to look in a specific location for the Folder Settings directory and files then copied just the desktop ini file to My Documents and it worked there but no where else I just dont know this really kind of sux any other Ideas
fr33k
this little program adds another customize tab to the folder properties which you can add a picture to folder backgrounds right now it doesn't seem to be perfect but it's worth looking at. https://www.neowin.net/bboard/showthread.ph...&threadid=12453

fr33k
Originally posted by andy_rose hmm, interesting. anybody tried this one? yes it works except when i went to select pictures as a background it had trouble seeing it. here is the cnet download site http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-14619...lst-0-9.8280395
Big_Mark
Well this shell background program is cool but 2 things I don't like. 1) If the picture is not the exact same resolution it will automatically tile it. 2) I can't customize "folders" like My Computer and My Ducuments or when I got into a drive but no a folder (ex C:, E:) If there a reg edit I can do to get this option in places where I am not supposed to be allowed? thebruce
if you copy the desktop.ini file to a folder of your choice, then edit the bit with Folder Settingsbackground.jpg to something like E:BrianPicturespic1.jpg then pic1.jpg will be the background for the folder where the .ini file is located.
