mat128
Hello everyone, I have 3 questions, is the ram for iBooks (I'm talking here about a G3 900mhz with 128mb "stock") the same because according to Apple I would only need to get some PC133 (to be on the safe side since it's 9x100, no absolute need for 133mhz bus ram). If it's not the same kind of ram what ram do I need? Is it costy? And how is the installation, easy enough to do it myself or I should see a PC retailer (that does laptop PCs too). Please note that I build desktop PCs for people and for myself (so I know alot about PCs but not macs). Oh and other questions are: -How do I do a screenshot on mac OS X? The last person I asked laughed :( -My iBook came with additional softwares, so I got 3 CDs for OS X and 3 for softwares + 1 for Worldbook (an Atlas). I got Mac OS X Panther Final Install Disc 1-2-3.dmg from somewhere and I would like to know if Panther is OS X 10.3 or it's an earlier version that the one I got on my iBook right now (10.2.something) Thank you! mat128
Thanks for the fast reply, so I can use any notebook pc133 memory and it will work, not like Apple-specific memory or such? If so, cool! Thx for grab, I will have a look when I can (not currently on the iBook) and for Panther I will probably not burn it yet, since I need at least one fully legal system in my house :D Mat
isus
ram is ram. as long as the speeds and types are the same, it will work. unless the ram is bad, then you will have problems. there is no "apple specific ram".
