The Mars Rover Has Successfuly Landed On Mars!

I still think Apollo 11 was a hoax, and Apollo 13 was truely our first attempt at the moon. Then the later apollo missions were a success.. I don't think Apollo 11 made it because they did not have all the problems figured out yet, and they were under pressure by the government, if they didn't make it that year they would have lost 30 billion dollars worth of grants. Besides Apollo 11 just went off a BIT too easy to be a first attempt..

Hey maybe we can use our 'Rover' to find your dead 'Beagle'.

:D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Lol good idea!

Since Spirit seems to be a success maybe Nasa can divert it's second rover Opportunity to look for the beagle.

I wasn't being seriouse hehe. It's not like the opportunity could repair the beagle so it would be a waste.

 Congratulations USA !  We do it right -- land in the Nevada desert and beam back images -- hehe.  :p

Is it just me or does the craft look like it got smashed flat ?

A lot of that looks like the airbag after it deflated too!

Here's a pic from Nasa's site.

 I'm sure the Europe space agency will be successful eventually. Condolances to the Europe scientists and Space fans. The USA has just been at it longer I think. Maybe our landing craft will find the Beagle hung up in a tree and rescue it ;)

neat pics -- I see the canals:
