beh
I just installed a X-ecutor 2.3b lite plus and everything is set and cool except the wires. I went to buy a new hdd and when i opened the case and went to close it again i guess the case put too much pressure onthe wires that went from the chip to the wires. I got the wires to work temporarily but now they are totally gone, one of the wires must have been cut from inside becuase no electricity is flowing through. I scoured the internet and couldnt find a site that would just sell those wires alone. My question to you was, could i be able to buy this same type of wire from a local computer store or a website maybe. I am going to go check out a few stores tomorrow anyways I just want to see what you guys think. The wires for the 2.3b lite plus are 5-pin wires. Toxikk Veteran Posted January 5, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 5, 2004 bummer dude. that sucks. if it was a single wire i would just suggest cutting out the damaged area and re-connecting them and applying tape. but the wire is 5 connected? like a rca cable, how they are connected? best bet is to go to radio shack or similar store. ienhz
Hey this chip requires no soldering right?
beh
yes it requires no soldering, and thanks for the suggestiosn but i got a neighbor to solder the wires back together for me and it works fine. Two of the 5 wires were pinched to the point that they needed to be fixed and now its all good
mayamaniac
which is better, the Xecuter or the Xbit? Both seems to be solderless with kill switch.
