KenLin
What do you use for fedora updates? Last time I used RHN, it was only fee for a month or so. I don't want to go that way. I've heard that apt nd yum are great systems, but using them can make your rpm database inconsistent. Anyone have experience using these on Fedora? markwolfe Veteran Posted January 4, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 4, 2004 Ummm... up2date works fine for me on Fedora. RHN is only Fee or Demo if you still run RHL, as far as I know...
Danrarbc
yum is installed by default on Fedora. I'm pretty sure it won't mess up the rpm database ;) A little side info yum is from Yellowdog, it was built specifically for RPM distros. Mandrake's urpmi is another one built for rpm. KenLin
I was expecting to have to register like I did with RH. I guess not. I also noticed that the channels that up2date uses are yum.
