The leak is about 2 GB in size and as one would expect for online play only! Rumors also say that some "l33t" people are currently setting up a server.

doesn't matter who sets up a server.... ever play an everquest "unofficial" server? They're crap. Absolute crap. because it takes months for blizzard/verant/anyone to get it right with proper funding- it's even harder without the professional support team.

Trust me- Most of these kinds of games are handled server side. You might be able to play it, and it might even be fun. But it won't be anything close to the finished product.

Unless they got the server software (which I seriously doubt) they're going to probably just decode the packets and make an emu.. THAT TAKES YEARS!...

Don't expect them to finish this anytime soon..

Software security is starting to seem as existent as the obligatory eskimo inside my computer

Do you feed your eskimo with cheese slices through your floppy drive? :)

Leakage = free publicity.

Only a (quote unquote) "retard" would not get a game because the alpha/beta/prebuild is leaked.

In the case of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost I didn't even know the game existed until it leaked. They earned at least this paying customer because of their leak.

I'll buy World of Warcraft wen it comes out, no need to download it. I'm currently hooked on Final Fantasy XI.

FFXI sucks.

I wouldn't go near this leak with a 10 foot pole. This is one game I will wait for

Agreed. So pointless in downloading something that's not even complete/balanced. And to make it even more worthless, there are no servers for it anyways. What a waste of bandwidth. I think Blizzard deserves our bling on this game anyways.

Increased marketting leads to higher consumer demands.

Increased demands leads to a high level of expectancy to fulfill

Increased expectancy leads to delays

Delays lead to leaks.

That and 2003 sucked for games

Er... yeah. Last time I checked, it was an incredible year for games... Call of Duty, Prince of Persia, Knights of the Old Republic, Halo PC, Max Payne 2... that's just a small amount of the awesome stuff that came out last year!

Was the source code leaked? if it wasn't, i dont see why it should be delayed because of this.

There prolly aint servers to play on anyway (as already noted), so whats the point in getting this if you're getting at a login screen or something. ???
