Most Hours Stayed Awake

Recommended Posts

43 hours, 35 of which were spent driving straight from California to Indianapolis. At approximately 33 hours of driving straight you start to see imaginary things jump out from the guard rails. Don't swerve, odds are they aren't real.

I did a 100 hour straight shift at work... that was a little over 4 days. When the **** hit the fan, I had to fix it. It was killer. I slept for like 20 hours after that.

If we're talking little sleep, I've gone for 2 weeks with only sleeping like 15 hours

My most without sleeping is about 40 hours, I haven't been able to pass it yet. I pull all nighters pretty often, but I find it hard to stay up since I can't find anything entertaining to do (most of the times that I pull 'long nights' are when I'm alone).

But during school days I usually get about 2-4 hours of sleep a night, so I'm awake alot.

Most of the time I sleep for 10-14 hours if I don't have anything to do that day (weekends, school breaks).

That's not right man, 2-4 hours is not enough sleep. You could be seriously hurting yourself...

I get around 6 hours of sleep (12:00 - 6:00) on weekdays, but when I don't have school, I sleep 10+ hours.

I did many a long stint of being awake at uni when coursework deadlines appeared, especially my project (and I still got a first..weeee!), they are an experience all should try. Your body goes totally nuts, I was really spun out at one point before handing in some project identification documentation, my room felt like it was a great concert hall, all situational awareness went our of the window, and I saw wierd wierd stars. I wasn't hungry, just the stress of the work, the 2+ days awake and sitting in the same crap wooden chair for the entire period (yes yes I got up to relieve myself..!). It's all the more fun when you've got a buddy doing the same thing, doing the same work, that you can chat to on msn nonstop :)

I miss being at uni specifically because I loved pulling all nighters. Infact I'm on a couple of days leave atm and have switched back to being nocturnal again. I'm gonna have to get very ****ed tommorrow night to try and get a decent amount of sleep before going back to work!

Around 120-140 hours, I forget exactly how much it was. I get really bad insomnia every so often, and nothing will get me to sleep.

Slightly off-topic, the longest I've slept was around 29 hours. (not after that though, after a normal day)

It really, really sucks :(
