While I'm not happy with this personality of Superman thus far, I'm greatly

looking forward to this Justice League movie. The trailer gives the impressions they're

going for a more "fun" vibe.

When superman comes back he should have a different personality for sure, something closer to the one people are used to from the comic books I'd say.  You know, near-death experiences and so on, change a person.

More optimistic and not moody, hopeful you could say.  He knows what he has to do and just does it, no doubting himself and so on.

Meh.

Guy Gardner and G`nort in a sci-fi buddy comedy for the win!

But seriously, Hal is the least interesting of all the Earth-based Lanterns. They'd do much better using John and Kyle. Or John & Guy. Or Guy and Alan (though traditionally not a Corps member). Or any combination thereof.

Pretty much the definitive League up to this point is the version from the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited cartoon. That's what they should be drawing inspiration from!

However, isn't it that Hal has played non-GLs in the DCU that makes him seeming non-integral? (In addition to Parallax, he was at one point, one of Spectre's human hosts post Nekron.)  However, given what Hal Jordan has done - simply as a member of the Corps - that is a rather silly attitude to have - that would be akin to dismissing Sinestro's contributions merely because he's moved to the Yellow side of the Corps Spectrum - which NONE of the Corps has done.)

While it will probably be Hal in the end, the rumor has still been that it'll be the corp and not just a movie about Hal himself.   So like another team up movie and not so much a solo GL movie, whenever that happens at this point.   You have to remember that as of right now, the only other DCEU movie actually being worked on is aquaman.   I don't even think flash is in pre-production let alone batman or MoS2 and so on.

In my opinion DC rushing is why the DCEU started off on a bad note, though I think MoS is a good movie and I enjoyed it, so as a first start into the DCEU it was a good one.   The problem is that we should've seen a MoS2 and then something like BvS followed by WM and then JL etc.

Joss Whedon is taking over postproduction of Justice League while Zack Snyder is taking time to be with his family.

Quote

Zack Snyder Steps Down From 'Justice League' to Deal With Family Tragedy

Superheroes have always been about doing the right thing in the hardest of circumstances. Now Zack Snyder, one of the biggest filmmakers in the genre and the director of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and the upcoming Justice League, finds himself in just such a situation.

Snyder tells The Hollywood Reporter he is stepping away from Justice League, Warner Bros.’ all-star DC Comics superhero mega-movie that is in postproduction, in order to deal with the sudden death of his daughter. Snyder's wife, Deborah Snyder, who is a producer on Justice League, also is taking a break to focus on the healing of their family.

Not unexpected. Their daughter Autumn committed suicide a few weeks ago, they have 7 other kids and everyone's been having a hard time. They tried to continue, but....

Can't imagine anything worse than outliving a child.

The movie's been in post-production for quite some time already, I think we're still going to get what we get regardless, the edit itself might end up different from what it might have been but the story is what it is, unless they re-shoot things.

Dude have some bloody compassion!!

The guy's daughter just took her life and the first thing that comes to your head is to take a dig at him?!

Horrible news, I can't imagine what Zack and his family are going through right now :(

So it sounds like re-shoots were always planned and Josh had input on them from the start, so it made sense that Zack handed it off to him since before the March tragedy happened.    It's also good to know what WB was ready to push the release of the movie back to give Zack all the time he needed, but Zack said not to and to let Josh wrap things up, that says a lot about the studio and also about the trust going on between the two directors.

Cooperative Bat-adventure Gotham Knights delayed to 2022
      by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe

Last year, Warner Bros. announced Gotham Knights as a brand new Bat Family-based project coming out of the Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Games Montréal. While the studio had gone silent regarding the game after its announcement, today it delivered some bad news for fans, revealing that Gotham Knights is now slated for 2022 instead of 2021 as originally planned.

"We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players," said the developer in an announcement on its Twitter page, adding that more Gotham Knights information will be landing in the coming months. Check out the original announcement trailer below.

The gameplay should be familiar to Arkham series fans, though this time, the entire game can be played cooperatively with up to four players that will assume the roles of Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, and Batgirl. While the storyline takes place after Batman's apparent death, this is not set in the Arkham franchise universe made by Rocksteady Studios.

Speaking of Rocksteady, the original Batman studio is also working on a cooperative game of its own under Warner Bros., that being Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which is actually set in the original Arkham universe. This game is already aiming for a 2022 launch, so it appears DC fans will get two action co-op games during the year at this rate.

Gotham Knights has the Bat Family going up against the Court of Owls
      by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe

During the DC FanDome stream today, Warner Bros. Games Montréal - the studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins - announced its next game set in the DC universe: Gotham Knights. As can be seen in the cinematic announcement trailer above, Batman/Bruce Wayne is presumed dead, and members of the Bat Family are taking up the role of being Gotham's protectors.

The popular Court of Owls comic book story arc will be a large part of the game it seems, and the group is probably connected to Batman's passing. Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Batgirl are all playable characters this time, and online cooperative play is available too, letting players team up with different heroes to "protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals."

The developer also shared a pre-alpha gameplay video of Gotham Knights for fans to witness during the stream, which can be seen above. The playthrough has Batgirl being joined by another player who's taking the role of Robin, as they team up against Mr. Freeze, giving a glimpse at the open world of Gotham and a more focused mission similar to the ones seen in the Arkham series.

Gotham Knights is coming in 2021, and while platforms were not announced today, it's likely that the title will be hitting the next-generation consoles and PC. There is another DC universe game announcement incoming from the DC FanDome stream later today, with Rocksteady prepping to showcase Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at 17:10 PDT / 20:10 EDT.

'Batman: Arkham' developer Rocksteady hints at next-gen AAA title in recent job listings
      by Usama Jawad

Rocksteady Studios pretty much wrapped up the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series with Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. This also marked the studio's last major release, and we have not heard from the developer since, except for a spinoff Batman: Arkham VR release in 2016.

It is currently unknown what projects Rocksteady is working on currently, but we may just gotten a hint at it with some job listings posted on the developer's site.

Image via Den of GeekAs spotted by ResetEra forum member est1992, Rocksteady has posted over 20 job listings on its website, with expertise required in numerous departments, including animation, art, character, code and AI, design, dialog, and marketing.

Eurogamer notes that all of these listings reference a "AAA title on the next generation platforms". Many of them reference professional experience in creative writing in TV, comics, and novels, while others also demand a "broad knowledge of comics, novels, games, cinema, and popular culture relating to video games." Interestingly, the Lead Animator post demands a person "who is ready for the challenge of leading a team of world class Gameplay Animators towards our next 90+ Metacritic title."

Most of these job listings were announced at the start of the year but have now been made available for public viewing. Many of them are contractual positions which require a the applicant to be available for a period of two years to work on the project.

Needless to say, all of these hints point at an upcoming title, though its identity is anyone's guess. At the start of this year, Rocksteady posted images of its motion-capture support team after a test shoot which sparked rumors have previously surfaced regarding an upcoming Justice League or Superman game. We'll likely learn more about this secret project soon, if these job listings are indications of an upcoming title.
