baloor
In the Radeon Control Panel under VPU Recovery or similar (am at work so bear with me sorry no Radeon card here) If VPU Recovery is enabled, disable it. Try running the games again. See if they function now. You may find that there is something wrong with the setup you have with certain games and the VPU recovery is dumping the game when it crashes. In that case the games will probably crash or break in new and more interesting ways instead. If so, go through all your gear bit by bit to locate the issue. If disabling the VPU Recovery does nothing, look to other issues. BF1942 will exhibit the dump to desktop if you are forcing refresh rates. You can fix that by editing a video config file. Again, I'm at work so don't have exact settings here, a quick search of google will get you want you want there. If all this does nothing. Give us some more details of your setup. Driver versions. DirectX version. Installation process may be helpful. DirectX updated then MB chipset drivers then vid, or some other order or installation etc.. Video card settings, Fast Writes enabled/disabled etc.. AA and Aniso settings etc. It's a new PC, so does it exhibit issues after extensive use, do certain resource intensive apps cause system lag or crashes. getting any bluescreens or just weird Windows issues?
