S^$% It's Cold!

Pth, you think its cold? Try living in Brisbane, Australia. Today it got to a freezing 108*F (42*C)
****... thats TOO hot for me. Is it humid or a dry heat in Aus?

We normally get a humid heat, where most of the air is water, and your sweat doesnt evaporate. Its like living in a giant sauna (and I cant escape it because I dont have air conditioning :( )

Luckily just down the coast in Newcastle (just above Sydney) over the last couple of days temps have been a comfortable 26*C, so its been ok, we have gotten a few days at about 38*C, but those days are isolated.

Actually thanks for the warning Bayrider, I'm seriously considering moving to Canada (or USA or UK), so if iI movie to Canada now I have a little warning on what to expect. In fact it will be like going from one temperature extreme to the other. Actually I'm kinda looking forward to experiencing the 2 extreme temperature places.

Well, think of it this way; there's an 80?C difference right now between Montreal and Newcastle.:oo

Farking cold out here in the GTA (north-east of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada).

-40*C (yes, that's -40*F as well).

When its' that cold, wind chill or not, I can hear my jacket actually "crack" from the cold. Your jacket starts to get stiff and non-moveable. :D

It's so cold, bare human flesh gets frostbite within 120 seconds of contact with the outside air.

if it's cold and windy, open your case, put it next to the window, and you have <0C wind blowing in. cheap (and effective, i guess) cooling :D

/edit/ i forgot, i don't think my city has ever experienced -5C, even at night :(

whoa, and I thought it was cold here in San Jose... haha, I am going back to San Diego tomorrow... the beautiful weather awaits me :D

I don't think its cold at all.. It warrants a light jacket, but I love it that way. I hate the heat :pinch:

It's 41 F in the Lowcountry of South Carolina (around Charleston). That's pretty cold for a place populated with palm trees and gators!
