Steven Posted February 2, 2002 Share Posted February 2, 2002 NTFS is Far superior to the FAT File System, there are no risks. except if your dualbooting and using 9x And NT at the same time. if you are. the 9x system won't be able to see the contents of the NTFS Drive. an NT Kernel OS like xp will see both FAT and NTFS. neowin_hipster Posted February 2, 2002 Share Posted February 2, 2002 NTFS is just as fast, it doesn't fragment as much, it's more secure for security reasons, if you have a large HDD (like over 30) you should definently be using it, and it is better all around.
