Where can i find a good dermatologist forum?

Recommended Posts

Im really hoping someone on neowin knows where one is located if it exists...

i have really annoying chicken-pox like dots all over me but except its not chicken pox. 3 doctors looked at it and had no idea what the hell it was. i got a biopsy done on one of them and the results showed that they had no clue what it was.

im kinda scared now with this, its been 3 weeks now and i can barely get the nerve to go outside cause i look so ridiculous

anyone know of a good forum where people would know about this?

Three certified doctors physically look at your spots with no clue, and you expect that someone on an online forum will know what you describe with a very vague description?

I highly suggest you go see a higher doctor, or visit a larger hospital. If they have no idea what it is, the doctor should not call you and tell you "hey bud, I have no idea wtf you have. Have a nice day." They should propagate the reports up the tree until either they find out what it is, or discover something new.

Hes asking if we know of any dermatologist forums. Not if we know whats wrong.

I know, but you think that anyone online will know what "spots that are not chicken pox" are?

I'd have to agree with HellBender on this. You might be able to find another dermatologist through one of the ones you visited, maybe one who has more experience than the previous ones.

sigh

i didnt explain at all how they look here. i can get a very good description of how they look but id rather do it at a forum where people who might be stduying dermatology or work in the field visit...

if they're telling you hey don't know whats wrong then they're not doing their job :p

the thing is theres literally retards working in the medical field here in canada.

i spent 6 (yes SIX) hours in the hospital waiitng the see a freaking doctor about this thing. this was 3 weeks ago. finally, i was called in and the doctor had no idea what it was. he got 2 other guys to look at it who also didnt know what it was. then he took a peice out, gave me stiches, and sent it for a biopsy and told me results would be in within 2 weeks. today (more than 3 weeks later) my family doctor calls and says they have no idea whats wrong. this is with a biopsy. i mean they took the entire thing and ran tests on it in a lab and still they have no idea what the hell it is. and now he wants me to go for a blood test. once that comes back (hell have no idea whats going on) hell tell me to see a dermatologist. all in the meanwhile im left sitting here letting my life leech out of my hands because for a month now it looks like i have freaking chicken pox. theyre all idiots here, id rather them say "i dont know please see a dermatologist" then pretend they know whats going on and make me go through test after test and wait weeks for results.
