Fusion
Is there anyway to do this? Even to have it set to eject disk images also would be nice.

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted January 9, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2004 I'm pretty sure the eject key is a hardware-level thing.
isus
you might suggest this feature to the creators of synergy... while they probably can't map the eject key to unmount your ipod, they might be able to map a hotkey for it.
WebOrbiter
What's wrong with Command-E? That's just two buttons.
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted January 9, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2004 What's wrong with Command-E? That's just two buttons. Because you omitted the important part: Having to click on the iPod icon first. He wants a way to eject his iPod and run with it from wherever he is on the computer, I believe. I do not have room for icons so I just don't have them. I access everything through my hidden dock or menus or hotkeys. If I have to open up a finder window just to select the iPod icon, I might as well hit the eject button in the sidebar. I was just looking for some way to map it to the eject key or even a global hot key would be nice.. ;)
NeoMayhem
Is there a shortcut in iTunes to do it? If so, you can use iKey to make a key eject it ;) If not, you could write and apple script and map it to a key with iKey.
