I have a macbook Early 2015: i5 2.7gh, 16gb 1800mhz, 256gb ssd, El Capitan 10.11.6
I also have istat menus installed. the CPU usage shows around 11%. When I do general browsing at the same time, images loading and scrolling start to lag. This is on the latest Chrome.
When Opera, everything is much much worse!
Forgot to mention temp is around 50C.

In activity monitor, Chrome Helper is using 45% of cpu with a few more with smaller percentages. I disabled it in Content setting but i didn't make a difference.

Any suggestions?
thanks!!

Well as a Mac user myself I do not use any application that is from Google. I use safari for web browser and Apple Maps for maps. Now in my Android phone I use the google apps. I never have any issue with safari. I am using the beta 4 of Sierra OS.

I don't think it's only youtube, anything conecten heavy like facebook or twitter, I'll get cpu spikes and lag during scrolling. This is with Firefox, Chrome and definitely Opera.

I did a Diagnostic test and report was no issues.

I have no problem using YouTube in my MacPro machine, playing YouTube in 1080p.... No lag here. Could be your internet services or router?

Reboot your router... Could be that or internet services provider.

Unlikely. That would be buffering which would be way too slow to sound like stuttering.
