BMac
They won't do anything for it at the hospital. You just got to take it easy and tough it out.
bull
Clean it. There is nothing mych you can do for a broken toe. Mainly you can just buddy-tape it to the next toe, to restrict some movement. Just gott let it heal. :pinch:
Kriz
Clean it first, if you think its broken strap that toe and another one together.
Hum
 Go to the hospital. If it's not properly cared for, may cause you some permanet pains. And next time wear shoes :woot:
.KICK
 Go to the hospital. If it's not properly cared for, may cause you some permanet pains. And next time wear shoes :woot: I didnt think they do much for broken toes because they are easy to heal, just keep pressure off it and after about a couple of weeks it'll feel better. Oh and clean it up too :x

Blaise Veteran Posted January 11, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 11, 2004 Dude..go to a doctor anytime you think you broke something. I have broken all my toes before and nope, there is not much that can be done, but they take an x-ray to make sure there are no fractures or bone splinters etc.. it is always best to get real qualified medical advice. Wound up almost losing one because of ignoring it, was a compund fracture and I did not realize it. Got infected and luckily the ampicilin worked or they'd have lopped it off :x
Jon
A fat guy jumped on my foot once whilst playing tennis (!?!), and broke it. But the doctors just said to leave it, and try to keep weight off it. There was a big splinter of bone floating around inside my foot flesh, and they said it'd just disolve!!! Hurt a lot for a week, then seemed fine. Breaking fingers is a bloody nightmare, I've broken my thumb 3 times, not fun. (Especially when my main interests are IT (typing) and playing guitar!) +StevoFC MVC Posted January 11, 2004 MVC Share Posted January 11, 2004 one time i broke every blood vessel in my foot. i actually went to the doctor for that one. my entire foot was purple. i wasn't allowed to walk on it at all for over a week, because if i got a little cut or anything on it i would never stop bleeding. maplecookie Veteran Posted January 11, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 11, 2004 I broke a toe once. Didn't go to the hospital for it or anything, but it was crooked and hurt like hell for about 2 weeks afterwards. It's fine now, so really it's kind of up to you. If you can't take the pain, or just want lots of sympathy from other people, go to the doc and get crutches. :) hope it feels better soon!
Longsiege
Toe Update - I got some skills. I managed to break 3 with one stub! If anyone can beat that i'd be impressed. Very swollen and going to lose the nails probably. Like most people have said you can't do much for broken toes. I took some popcicle sticks and made splints and its working fine.. Although it does hurt to walk a bit :p..
