I'd like to see someone play a game through Virtual PC ;) There are games for Mac, but not nearly as many as for the PC. Basically, if you're very interested in games, don't get a Mac (or get a Mac, and keep your PC or get a console for gaming).
Garry
Hi Razor. Macs can't use ANY PC software. Any software you want to run on a Mac has to be written specifically for a Mac. This includes games. Luckily, most games, particularly popular ones, also have a Mac version. I use the site http://www.macgold.co.uk/ to check which games have a Mac version available. Hope this helps.
kairon
Keep your PC for gaming. And macs can do anything in the realm of possibility. Of course, finding the App/Game your looking for is a whole other story. ;)

Southern Patriot
I'd like to see someone play a game through Virtual PC ;) Solitaire works just fine in VPC, thank you!!! (hey, it's a game, and you didn't specify what KIND of game)
DjmUK
of course you can!!!!there are a lot of great games for mac, like breakout... super breakout... photoshop? you can hear all about it in this video... http://www.redvsblue.com/appleswitch.shtml :shifty: fjv You do realise that Photoshop is not a game..? But yeah, the Mac plays games, just make sure you get a good CPU(s) and a good ATi card (personal opinion). In fact, they were demo'ing Unreal Tournament 2004 (UT2004) down the MWSF 2004 convention. My only guess is that they're releasing both a PC & a Mac version at the same time...hopefully. (the Linux installer will be embedded on 1 of the discs, just like UT2003). To sum up: - PC games will NOT work on a Mac, and Virtual PC will run the game extrememly slowly. - Get the game specifically for the Mac, or do what most other people do...run it on a PC (a lot more games are available...and they'll run a lot smoother/faster. Rudy
can OSX run Linux games?? using X11 maybe?
aldo
Rudy: No. Not unless you have the source code for the game, as the binaries will be compiled for PPC instead of x86. You can play games on a Mac and they play mighty fine aswell... all of the great games are ported to Mac about 4 months or so after the PC release depending on the company (EA really seems to hold things up). Simcity 4: rush hour, C&C Generals, Call of Duty, Medal of Honour: Breakthrough and many more games are being released for Mac later this month...
