HellBender
We have a lemon plant in our backyard, and this year it had a bunch of lemons on it (first year it actually had lemons). So I went out and picked most of them, lest they start rotting. And I made lemonade out of them. And it was pretty good  I took a pic of it with my CyberShot... Just felt like sharing!

Hope you enjoyed that lemonade. Yeah, I thought it was an odd color too.. But nope, I just used... 3 cups regular cold water .5 cups ice 1 cup fresh lemon juice .75 cups sugar Yeah, our lemon plant is doing pretty well actually :) We planted an orange plant and a lemon plant at the same time.. The lemon plant is pretty big (about 5 feet high and 10-20 lemons on it at any time) and our orange plant is fairly green, but a full 6 inches and no trace of any fruit. The snails really got to it :/

Totally freezing here in NJ. The thought of going outside and picking lemons to make lemonaide is unheard of, but that really does look good. JJMustang
LOL @ Both Here, you'd have a lemon slushie... straight from the tree! That is, if you could grow lemon trees here.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted January 11, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 11, 2004 I just like sucking on lemons. Lemonade was never my thing but either way you are lucky. I think if we had lemons here in Brooklyn, NY they would just snap apart, it's like 10 degrees outside lol.
HellBender
Yeah, I'm in California, it's nice here. two out of three mornings, you dont even see dew/frost on the grass.. and I usually sleep with my window open (since my mom turns up the thermostat to an ungodly 73 degrees). Come to think of it, I probably should've put some yellow food coloring in it so it didn't look so much like a V8 drink gone bad.
