ultimate99
I'm trying to boot windows 10 on a VM and I got this error: "BOOTMGR is missing". I'm not sure what to do and how I would I'd use the license key as it's a VM, and I upgraded from windows 7....hence "change of hardware"?
Hum
Copy the file back in from another working W10 computer.
T3X4S
Did you make any changes to the VM before your last reboot ? The way the bootmanager works is different than it used to be due UEMI, secureboot, etc A default install of WIn10 will make like 4 partitions on a HDD, maybe it is looking in the wrong place ? Circaflex
Download a windows 10 iso. Have your VM boot off of the iso, mount it as a disc to do this or set it up in your VM settings, once it boots select your language and the next screen select repair your computer and select startup repair on the screen after that. Or you can boot off the disc select repair computer and under system recovery select command prompt and type Bootrec /RebuildBcd.
