+Warwagon MVC Posted October 12, 2016 MVC Share Posted October 12, 2016 Let me start by saying, I know Mcafee pays OEM's to put their ###### 30-day trial AV on new computers. The issue with this is.. I've seen time and time again, average user PC's that came with a 30 day trial of Mcafee Antivirus still on the system after a month, a year or since they purchased the PC or laptop. The problem with this is, it's usually completely expired, probably after the 30-day trial ran out. While Windows Defender isn't the greatest, it sure is a lot better than an expired AV not getting any new definition updates. The issue is, while that expired AV is sitting on their system, Windows Defender is also sitting there turned off.
