rocks1985
on january 24th, the macintosh will have its 20th anniversary. do you think Apple Computer will do anything to commemorate "20 Years of Macintosh"? What do you think they will do for this event? Hopefully they'll speedbump the G5's or introduce some new "Gee Whiz" product or G5's in machines besides the PowerMac :woot: Or do you think they will do nothing at all?
Joseph Zollo
It's reasonable to say that since Macworld was so dissapointing, they may have been saving some of the big announcements for the 24th.
isus
the best guess would be powermac updates, but https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=131204 they are obviously planning something else pretty big.
HuRR
Like I dunno but I hope Apple does something on the 24th that would make it even better then the Introduction of the Mac. 20 years is a lot for a revolutionary computer.
Hurmoth
I know it sounds far out, and probably wouldn't happen. But, I think it would be really cool if they introduced the first G5 PowerBook (far out I know, but not completely impossible)

Chad
I really like the idea of the iBox macosx.com reported before MWSF. It may not be true at all, but the concept is great. http://macosx.com/content/article.php?cid=

smm5786
On January 24th I believe Apple will introduce G5 iMacs to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mac. The new iMac will be similar to the current one, but with a Aluminum exterior. Will use single channel DDR400 and 1.6 and 1.8GHz 90nm G5s.

I know it's not cheep to make the G5s, but it would be nice if they could keep the price down too. Either an iMac G5 or a PowerBook G5, or both ... either or would be cool! Pilsbury
They are more likely to launch something in the line of the 10th and 20th Anniversary Macs (I hope), as opposed to new 'standard' Macs... And unless the PowerMac is getting speed bumped, don't hold your breath on a G5 iMac... And unless you want to turn blue, keel over and die, don't hold your breath on a G5 PowerBook... lexor
This is totally off the wall, but maybe they'll announce that they'll move to China to reise their revenue by cutting costs and keeping the prices the same? what's so good? well they'll have more money for R&D for instance... Southern Patriot
It would be cool if they played the 20 year old Apple Super Bowl Comersial.. at this years superbowl That would be cool, so long as it was the original commercial, not the "edited" one they had at MWSF with the iPod added.
