Your Top 5 Mobile Apps

Recommended Posts

I'm curious to know what everyone's top 5 "go to" apps are currently. Please state what mobile OS you're using.

Mine on iOS are:

  1. Outlook
  2. Net Analyzer
  3. Mr. Patrol
  4. LastPass
  5. MyRadar Pro (I know I know, I'm getting old :p)

WP10

- OneNote

... I think I mostly just use included MS apps (Linked Inbox, Cortana, Edge, Messaging and phone etc,.. I'm not a heavy user, but I'm quite happy with those apps)

I think he meant the default phone dialer that comes with the phone.

Hmmm, I thought he meant a reverse phone lookup. I should have mentioned in the OP "3rd party apps"

I suppose it is an "app", so......ok :D

Do you have a link, I'm not finding that via Google search?

Its an archaic application that most people have long forgotten about ;)

Android

1)  Quick Profiles.  Been using it since Android began pretty much. Has not been updated much over the years, but still works with every Android OS revision.

2)  Bacon Reader Premium

3)  Apex Pro.  Home screen replacement.

4)  Quick Pic.  Better pic viewer than the default app

5) 250+ Solitaire Collection.  Been using this for years as well.

I have more that I use besides those 5 of course. But thought I would list a couple that I really have not seen mentioned elsewhere.

Eesh, only 5? That's tough, as I think there are about 10 that are almost automatically downloaded the moment I get a phone. Let's see...

- ES File Explorer

- Chrome

- BBC News

- VLC

- Whatsapp

I've cheated a bit because there's normally a weather app by default, and the fact that Chrome can still access things like Facebook, OneNote, Gmail...technically it could access BBC News, so I could remove that and replace it with something like Skype or Fallout Shelter. :p

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to mention that this is for Android.

Well, um:

Android, LG G3

Hmmm Non default (as in I have to download)

1. whatsapp

Default.

2. Chrome

3. Dialer

* Also in the order they get used most

** Yeah the app gap is something that wouldn't apply to me :p as long as #1 is around.

Running Android M

1. Dialer (stock)

2. Contacts (stock)

3. Chrome (stock)

4. Textra

5. GMail (stock)

Bonus item: Nova launcher

Looking at my current phone, I think Textra and Nova Launcher are the only non-stock apps I'm running right now.  I guess I'm very much in the minority in that my phone is actually mostly used as a telephone, not a pocket computer/social networking tool.

Changes from time to time, this represent the apps I consider to be the most helpful and used. No stock, no particular order.

AppRaisin (An app discovery app)
Microsoft Minesweeper (A game)
NTES (A train enquiry app)
Skype (Preview version)
Hike (A chat app)
