-=SD=-
Dude. I know how to make it so you don't shoot your team ever again. Its called communication. If you see someone, press the "U" button. This will tell your postion. Then, everyone else will do it cause they don't want to get shot. You need to look before you shot someone close up to. If they have a helmet, then don't shoot. Simple. I only wished people were to read the reports :( I was just playing a round earlier, I reported in the 2nd floor entrance and when I turn that corner get killed by teammate. He then says if I reported it wouldn't have happened

Simple. well I never killed a teammie, but I do see a major flaw in your plan and basic usave of "U". it says something like "Blah Blah compound North" and usually I have no friggin clue where that is. if it was to flash an "X" or something on some minimap than your idea would work. as for you DC, do what I do (burst mode is a must of course) shoot once, just press the button once. 'couse usually you realize if it's a baddie or not right when you start shooting, this way you have a chance to stop even if you shoot a teammie (even if he's demaged he won't die from 1 burst couse it ain't accurate spread) on unrelated note. granades suck monkey's behind, oh how I wish they'd take them out of the game or at least halve the death radius on them. Steven
I know pretty much every location of every map. Its your job to learn the maps and their locations. Last night I hit 42 honor go me. :p
BroChaos Veteran Posted January 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2004 so this game is actually pretty good? i remember reading pretty negative reviews when it first came out, and never really paid attention to it after that. is it worth the download and install? Steven
When the game first came out it was dry. This game has gotten so many new maps and so many new weapons and punkbuster support to flush out the cheats. I started at 1.7 It was good for me then now @ 2.0a its so much better. Stokkolm
I'm trying to get through Special Ops training, I'm stuck on the lesson where you have to sneak past everybody. It's pretty hard, i'm on checkpoint B still. I've only tried for about 20 mins though.
Steven
There's a bunch of guides around here on neowin in this forum. You'll get through it. "Low and Slow" ;)

Stokkolm
It's pretty tough, i've only played Rainbow Six once, but i'd say they are about the same difficulty.

It's pretty hard, i'm on checkpoint B still. Here do this. It has worked for me and many others. Crawl..ALWAYS and in SLOW mode. Between some of the checkpoints, if you turn your monitor brightness up, you will notice a marsh/boggy river and crawling right in the middle of this allows you to easily slip past all the guards. I know, it felt like I was in the open, but if you avoid hugging walls and those stupid trees which make noise, no one notices you. Good luck soldier! Steven
the training missions are hard? is this game like extremely realistic or something? how does it compare to like rainbow six 3? Well seeing thats its built and certified by the US Army its as realistic as possible. The Basic Training, Medic and Airborne Training Missions aren't that diffucult. SF Training can make you churn. Especially Escape & Evade.
eXclusive
I dont see any realism in the game. You can almost walk by an enemy and nothing happens. And next you can crawl silently behind a bush or something, they see and hear you right away  Well, i stopped playing it. I liked it. Now i dont

The AI in this game is in its infancy. As this game continues to evolve it'll get better. Base your realism on the weapons, models, and the missions. Now i dont It seems pretty realistic to me..I haven't started gameplay yet, but the training is hard. When I walk in the open they always see me. If I'm in a bush and am still they don't see me, as soon as I move they do. Well as long as the spotlight is shining on the bush.
eXclusive
Ya, but if you want "realism" all the things in game has to fit together somehow. If they would improve the AI just a bit. I would love this game. And actually pay money for it :)
Stokkolm
It's good for a free game isn't it. It's better than most games that you pay for ie: Unreal 2 - that game sucks.

Steven
You'd be surprised there's already hundred of people who would pay for AA, but you can't because its a government built game.

Steven
It was built as a training tool for the Army originally wasn't it? recruiting tool. Just because it is, doens't mean you have to be influence to enlist in the Army. I think its one of the better games around today and it ranks very high on the gamespy list of active players. I think its like number 2 behind HL.

Steven
JESUS, WHAT A RETARD :omg: AA wasn't designed as a Single Player game. It's purpose was to be multiplayer to teach teamwork and tactics. Single player maybe added someday but I can't really see how it would work. Respawning may come sometime in the future.
