The court in Gelsenkirchen ruled that the silicon implants did not significantly increase the level of risk the 32-year-old woman would face as a police officer. Three years ago, a police doctor rejected the Dortmund native’s application on medical grounds, despite her having successfully passed every other requirement for entry. Police regulations state that police officers are not allowed breast implants because of the increased health risks associated with them, such as the possibility they would rip during an operation. But based on a medical report by the University of Bonn, the judge said that the police would have to review their regulations.
