Gotenks98
Hi all, I have a raspberry pi system that is setup that I need to transfer to a smaller SD card. Its current card is being wasted some because of all the free space. I wanted to clone it to another SD card that is half the size. Is this possible? If so what software or command line-fu can I used to accomplish this.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 28, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 28, 2016 Clonezilla should be able to do that..

T3X4S
If you want to use a GUI, Acronis True Image from a boot image will do this. I just dont know if your Pi device will boot to USB and load GRUB the same way - I assume it will. (most ISO to USB loaders use GRUB)

Haggis Veteran Posted November 29, 2016 Veteran Share Posted November 29, 2016 you can also create the image and then use Pi Shrink to shrink the IMG file itself https://github.com/Drewsif/PiShrink Gotenks98 1 Share

Gonna give it a try this weekend.
