hornett
Hi all, I've tried several distros (I'm currently running and loving Fedora Core 1) and I have a problem with my sound. When I play a file (regardless of file type or app) I just get about the first seconds repeated over and over again. The sound card is detected fine by Fedora. I have also tried installing the drivers from the manufacturer's website with no improvement. My sound card is a CMI8738 (onboard). I hope you can help ... I can't live without my music :(
markwolfe Veteran Posted January 13, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 13, 2004 Has this happened on every distro? Or just FC1? If a distro works well (even Knoppix), look to see how it is configured, and match it in FC.
hornett
Sorry, I should of made it clearer. The stuttering happens in every distro I've tried (slackware, knoppix, fedora, mandrake, gentoo)
