Plarkster
I installed apt-get on fedora core 1 and then used it to install synaptic. Im trying to install mplayer, so first I added the following as repositories in sources.list: # Fedora Core rpm http://download.fedora.us/fedora/ fedora/1/i386 os updates rpm-src http://download.fedora.us/fedora/ fedora/1/i386 os updates # Fedora Extras (formerly "Fedora Linux") rpm http://download.fedora.us/fedora/ fedora/1/i386 stable unstable testing rpm-src http://download.fedora.us/fedora/ fedora/1/i386 stable unstable testing # Livna 3rd party packages with questionable (in USA) licenses -- use at your own risk rpm http://rpm.livna.org/ fedora/1/i386 stable unstable testing rpm-src http://rpm.livna.org/ fedora/1/i386 stable unstable testing But I cant seem to get it to install, either from the terminal or synaptic - apt downloads everything but then displays messages about missing GPG keys: E: Error: 0 unsigned packages 9 unknown signatures 0 illegal/corrupted signatures Then nothing else happens - anyone know how to fix this? That was yesterday, Synaptic wont even run now - noting happens when I click the icon or type synaptic in the terminal, although apt-get does still work. Help! kemical
first time i used apt-get with synaptic there weren't that many packages, is it starting to catch on now and more packages being added / updated?
Plarkster
Well theres 1948 packages available - dunno how that compares to when you used it, but I will say that it seems to work well.
