session
My friend just got his powerbook yesterday and he is wondering if he should take the battery out if he uses AC power :) oh btw, im planning to buy panther. and i can't really figure out what the difference is between 5 user licence and single user one. (from what i've heard, though you havr to register but *technically* if you don't, you can still use it eh? ) Edited January 14, 2004 by session
Keldyn
Why would you need to take the battery out? Leave it in. It does it no harm.
Fusion
No you do not have to take the battery out. Once it is charged the light turns green and it stops sending power to the battery. It will not overcharge it. You do not have to register your OS and there is not CD key. You could use the same version downloaded even if you want on a million computers and you would be fine. It is up to you to decide if that is right with you and if you would rather support the company by paying for it's products.

You are legal to have it on one and only one computer, With 5 license, you get 5 licenses, You are legal to have it on up to 5 computers. Is it really that hard to figure out? It is when you are asking questions that are common sense and could easily be found out by simply reading Apple's website.

the evn show
if being lazy is normal, why do you come here and expect us to things that are so unnatural: like reading the documentation?
