EmuZombie Veteran Posted January 14, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 14, 2004 so what technically is / ? is it back slash or just slash? if it's back slash, then what is \ ? I always thought that \ was back slash, however, some people are now calling / a back slash. So which is correct?
SOB BOT
I think / is slash and \ is backslash, since you read from left ro right, forward would be leaning to the right.

FlishFun Veteran Posted January 14, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 14, 2004 Don't they teach people this in junior high school?? :o Sadly, no. I tell people to type "Ampersand" or that my e-mail addy has and "Underscore" and they get all confused and I have to say "The AND sign" or "Shift and the Dash Key".
