I have got most of Linux running on my computer, however I have not been able to solve some configuration issues.

I have got a 9 button mouse (MS Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2), how can I configure X to use all the buttons? When using wheel tilt, xev doesn't say that any button was pressed (it says that it got keycode 196, independant of the tilt direction). How to make pressing thumb buttons act as next/previous buttons in browsers (mozilla & konqueror)?

Another problem:

When I print anything from KDEs applications, I get correct printout, but when I print from mozilla, openoffice or gnucash, I get fuzzy first lines and pages are cut (I get either upper part of a page on one sheet and lower part on another or only the upper part). How to fix this? I am using HP LaserJet 5L and CUPS (at least KDE is using CUPS).

I found that sometimes KDE applications also do print wrong. But this only happens when printing text only documents (and it does not happen always). However, when KDE application prints wrong, printer also asks me to press its button before printing (which luckily enables me to cancel this printing). I also forgot to mention that I am using Foomatic/hpijs driver. Any ideas how to fix it?
