MulletRobZ
BitTorrent. ;) But whatever you do, don't use LimeWire or you'll be tracked down by the RIAA/MPAA easily. I received a warning from them once when using LimeWire and since then, I haven't downloaded a single movie nor song.
MrStaticVoid
Bittorrent is good, so is aMule, an eMule clone. I also like Nicotine for music. FastTrack is full of terrible quality music, so I've never liked giFT.

Tran
I think I'll post this here since it's p2p based. Whenever I try to emerge gift-openft or -fasttrack and -gnutella for that matter, I get it saying that it's masked. Anyone know how to fix this? kemical
any of you gentoo users tried pysoulseek?
Tran
Nope, only tried mldonkey and giFT (through giFToxic with Gnutella, OpenFT and FastTrack). mldonkey, for some reason, doesn't want to connect to servers. giFT is slow for me but at least its got connections. kemical
how do i create and account for this nicotine/soulseek stuff?
MrStaticVoid
any of you gentoo users tried pysoulseek? pysoulseek is dead. nicotine is its successor. With SoulSeek, you do not "create" accounts, you junt pick a username and password, and if it hasn't been used already, you'll be able to log on.
