sanctified Veteran Posted January 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2004 unfortunately, no build engine-based games can be played at 100% in xp, not even with the VDM sound that emulates the hardware access to a dummy soundblaster, you need at least windows me
Edge198
well poo i was hoping someone knew of an openGL port like there is for Duke3d thx anyway
dougkinzinger
You could run it on VirtualPC, but you'll be stuck in software rendering mode (which, I think, is all Shadow Warrior can do). I did that for Descent, Duke3D, old Indy games, etc...
Malechai Veteran Posted January 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2004 here's a workaround (i wouldn't call it a solution) Use this: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=132126&hl= and get your hands on an OS (dos, win 95/98/Me) and install it through the Virtual PC. Then install the game onto that OS. Should be able to play it fine then /edit doug and I share a brain. no really.
dougkinzinger
We do. Remember the Brain Slugs from Futurama? That's pretty much us. :D
