markwolfe Veteran Posted January 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2004 Is it this motherboard? If so, it looks like any modern (2.4.21 and up) kernel will support it.

markwolfe Veteran Posted January 15, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2004 After a quick search (and only looking at one relevant hit), it appears that any current distribution should work. You can find a list of them at DistroWatch.com. The hit I found was on RedHat's website, here, and is from last month. They say that the current kernel supports the SATA drives, but not RAIDed, at this time. So, it would appear that you coudl download Fedora Core 1, or Mandy 9.2, or the current SUSE or others and have your SATA drives supported. If RAID is important to you, it appears to not be supported yet, but I suspect it will be soon! Mark
alext5
Thank you very much for the info, the reason why i've posted that question is that I tried SuSe 8.1 and it didn't worked so i'll try fedora core.
