Could someone please explain to me the difference between RedHat 8 and RedHat 9???

It seams like they have changed nothing, is it just got updated modules??? ie newer version of Php etc?

A great source for these types of questions is DistroWatch.com!

They can even be used to look at RedHat vs. SUSE vs. Debian, or whatnot.

The kernel is updated (but you can do that manually), and the different apps. You can do those manually, too.

So, really, they are more-or-less just snapshots of the huge evolving Linux movement.

Just like to point out that up-to-date software packages are important because they reduce the possibility of being exploited remotely by bugs. :)
