Danielx64
http://www.tweaktown.com/news/56324/russian-nvidia-fanboy-murders-amd-fan/index.html Quote In a bizarre chain of events, a Russian programmer "hacked" his friend with a knife after a disagreement about NVIDIA vs. AMD. The man murdered his friend with a kitchen knife by striking him twice on the head and then stabbed his friend another eleven times after he was already dead. He then burned the body in the attempt to cover the crime. It appears that the argument was the result of drinking alcohol and there may have been something in the alcohol to result in such a violent reaction over graphics card makers. The tragic event happened over a year ago, but the conviction was only recently handed down by the court to 31-year-old Aleksander Trofimov, responsible for murdering 37-year old Evgeny Lylin in Saransk, Russia. He was sentenced to nine and a half years in prison for the crime he eventually admitted to committing. Quite said really
Skiver Veteran Posted February 23, 2017 Veteran Share Posted February 23, 2017 It's crazy how people can get over these types of things. I'd imagine he had some severe untreated mental issues to have gone this far and it's not simply down to a love of Nvidia! Is it also wrong that when I read that first part of the quote it threw me by the use of the word "hacked" and all I could picture was this;

Skiver Veteran Posted February 23, 2017 Veteran Share Posted February 23, 2017 It's from Titanfall - looks to be Titanfall 1 but the same knife hacking tool exists in both
hagjohn
Sad that some people have to take everything to the extreme today. It's really okay to have a different view.

Yogurth
It is alcohol, not fanboyism that did this. Danielx64, +E.Worm Jimmy, restroom and 1 other 4 Share
restroom
I think the alcohol was the main factor in this rather than the original argument material itself. Plus they state that the drinks may have had something else in it, so drugs could also be a factor. Yogurth 1 Share
