How Do I Make Some Icons Bigger?

Recommended Posts

OK I noticed that some of you have big icons on your desktop, yet the icons on the Start Menu and Windows are at their normal size. The only way I know to make icons bigger is by going to Display in the Control Panel and clicking on Appearance and then there change the icon size, but that makes all icons in Windows become bigger and I don't want that. I just want to make some bigger - the ones on the desktop. My Trash-Can to be exact and whatever other icons I put there.

How can I do it? Please help. Thanks!

Well as far as i know you can't have diff sizes on the desktop and on the folders/start menu. But you can chose tile view in folders wich will allways display 48x48 sized icons in your folders regardless of your icon metrics, the start menu however is a different matter you can only choose between large (same size as desktop) and small i believe these will be 24x24 you can also grab truelaunch bar wich will allow you to define wich icon size you whant in it as a replacement for your quicklaunch bar ;) hope that helped you out.
