LordHatrus
Macromedia already offers a native Linux Flash player web browser plugin for free. We're talking 'bout the program used to make the flash objects, not to view them  Anywho, with a bit of tweaking, even Flash works well under WINE..... MrStaticVoid
Photoshop has a great replacement: GIMP. I am so surprised that there is no replacement for Flash yet. OpenOffice.org can make Flash, so its not like there are copyright issues.

OpenOffice.org can make Flash, so its not like there are copyright issues. Don't get me wrong, I love the GIMP, I even use it on a daily basis. But nothing comes close to photoshop, for someone who is used to it. When I have the choice, like on my Mac, I go with Photoshop for the real editing. For the lightweight, I launch X11 and run gimp. But you know...
MrStaticVoid
For my purposes, I find the GIMP 2.0 to be more powerful than Photoshop 6.0 (I've only used 6, sorry). Now when you use Photoshop and Illustrator together, then the real action begins. The GIMP can't even compare.

Starman
Gimp vs. Photoshop CS? Guys, seriously, no. No, no, no. Photoshop CS is so far and above Gimp isn't not even funny. Dual boot into Windows and just run the apps you need to run. Mike
