Plarkster
I couldn't understand why I couldn't add my music to the Rhythmbox library - it looked like it was searching through my files ok but just wouldn't add them to the library. There was no error message or anything, so I looked into it and found that the Fedora version of Rhythmbox is unable to play mp3's. I knew that mp3 playback was stripped out of XMMS, but XMMS displays a message about this if you try to play an mp3 and it's really simple to fix. Anyway, I've got it working now, so I thought it might help a few people if I linked to the page that I found: Check out this page. Hope it helps someone! markwolfe Veteran Posted January 17, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 17, 2004 Yeah, for whatever reason, there are a lot of people who don't know about RedHat/Fedora not including copyrighted MP3 or CSS algorithms. It is up to the end user to 'license' these properly for his/her country of residence. :shifty:
