Finsta
It's gonna be sweet, like the first as they added in extra stuff that they left out in 2003, like Assault and all. There are going to be two editions, Specail and Standard. Standard is $39.99 US but I am Canadian so that would be $64.99 Canadian, The difference between the Special Edition and Normal is: Taken from Amazon.ca: Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition includes a double-DVD set. Disc one includes all of the game content while disc 2 includes more than 150 hours of Video Training Modules (VTMs) from 3D Buzz that teach fans and amateur mod makers how to use the Unreal Editor to create custom game content. Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition comes in a limited edition metal box and contains a Logitech Internet Chat Headset for use with the game's exclusive voice over IP (voice chat) technology, as well as an Unreal window sticker. ___________________________________________ And it costs $89.99 Canadian or $59.99 US, which is worth spending more? Linkage for proof of no lies. kryptonik
I have 2003 and to tell you the truth this isn't much of an improvement. Just a few mods. I'll wait until Hlaf-Life 2. ;)
Lingwo
I am going to pick up the limited edition set, so long as it appears in the uk. I enjoy UT alot as its the only game i have ever really good at online.
Gambit MEM
I'll stick with the standard edition. I wasn't too thrilled with UT 2003, I didn't think it was that much of an improvement over the original UT. Just my opinion.....

It seems like companies are releasing sequels that are not as good as the originals.
GG-
They just want more money for releasing new updates/mods and I won't buy ut2k4 or any other ut game they'll release in the next 3 years(my guess: 3 games :shifty: ) -> converting good old UT into fifa :x  . Anyway, I still prefer UT gameplay over UT2K3 weird dodges and double jumps...
.KICK
Yeah, I prefer the oreig UT, been playing it for 3 years, its great, UT2003 was such a let down :(

RauL
IMHO this isnt turning like Fifa, what 2004 is going to do is to get the best of 2 worlds together (UT+UT2003=UT2004 +some new nice addons)
Chode
I'll just wait for S.T.A.L.K.E.R...... I prefer a thought provoking multiplayer to just a run and guns approach
komplexnous
I cannot believe how stubborn some of you are!! Give the game a chance!! I think that UT2k4 has a huge possibility of being a great game. Not only is Atari (etc.) trying it's best to make it an original UT game with extras (basically, a better sequal for those dissapointed w/2k3), but they are adding even more modes and types of gameplay. This WILL be THE ONLY multiplayer game with A VARIETY of ONLINE PLAY!!!!! It is not just run and gun....if you actually played the various modes in ut2k3, you would know this. If you do not want to admit that, fine...stay stubborn; you will likely be missing out on DIFFERENT online play that I haven't seen promised by any other pending multiplayer game, yes, including Half-Life 2, which is just completely over-hyped. The ONLY reason why the original game has so many people playing it is because it has been out on the market since 1998, and it was one of the first multiplayer games to run well, and that doesn't make it the best contrary to popular belief (MOHAA followed 2 yrs later, which is also a good game, but I think CoD + Battefield 1942 has stolen a huge chunk of its fan base b/c they are better...it took a while for a war FPS to be better than MOHAA, but it took people to be flexible in their thinking). Now, sorry for being a little off topic (and upset at times), but I felt that this had to be said. To answer the question, now....LOL....I will probably buy the Standard version of the game, because I will not be making maps, mods, etc.... mick0142
from what i have seen (a few trailers or whatnot) the game could be fun but looks like a lot of it (especially the vehicles) is a knock off of halo
GG-
WTF are your talking about? UT2K4 won't be anything like UT , it will be exactly the same as UT2K3 + new mods(assault and all of those) + vehicles(somebody mentioned halo?) - . The only thing that I have to admit is that the headphones in UT2K4 package = l33t.
