Turbonium
I'm running a 2.4C on an Intel D875PBZ with 2 sticks of 256MB each of PC3200 in DCDDR. If I upgrade to a GB of memory (+ 2 more sticks of 256MB), will my game load times be affected noticeably? Keep in mind I'm not about to spend $200 just for this, but I'm just curious. Redestium
Probably not, with your current CPU though the times can't be very long.

John Veteran Posted January 19, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 19, 2004 it's usually more of a bandwidth issue (between you and the server, and/or between the server and other players in the game) than a cpu or ram issue...

threetonesun
Yeah, my computer isn't as good as yours but it always loaded faster than everyone elses. It's Bandwidth, that's all.
Daybreak
Well.. it rarely matters how long it takes.. What matters normally though is that your teammate doesn't lag out, and your opponent does :)
