rickyk87
well a friend of mine used an unauthorized mem card (it had to load a crappy program from a disk before being able to use it) and then it had trouble playing some ps1 games. mainly black/blue discs. well this morning it wouldnt play anything, black/blue/white/retail audio cd and says disc read error. i know there has been major probs wiht this but does any1 have advice how to fix it, other than shipping it to sony. thanks for any help. :(
Briandl79
Is there something else you aren't telling us, because it seems that way to me. Any more information about this memory card and disk you are talking about ?
ABC
Yeah, because what you did can't lead to that kind of problem.

Briandl79
As I said there was something you weren't telling us. In your original post you make it seem as if you used this memory card and your console immediately started having problems reading some disks, then the next day it wouldn't read any disks. You then say it's been a progressive problem which indicates to us that this has nothing to do with the memory card and that you have the typical problems that the PS2 has which is problems reading disks. As far as I know there is no easy fix, it's not under warranty unless you bought an extended warranty so you can send it back for repair or call your local GameStop or EBGames and see what they can do for you. Also you can edit your posts, there is no need to post three times in a row.

Suddenly_Dead
Sounds like it's broken or something. Have you called Sony's tech support, or is there a reason not? I've called Microsoft's before for xbox problems, and I wouldn't imagine sony would be worse in that respect.
