Microsoft brings the "next generation of Skype" to iPhones

At the beginning of this month, Microsoft unveiled the "next generation of Skype". The company said that it had "rebuilt Skype from the ground up", adding more features, including color customizations, Snapchat-style 'Highlights', new add-ins, and more bots.

The new version of Skype was initially available only on Android, but Microsoft said that it would soon make its way to iPhones as well. The wait is now over for users of Apple's handsets, as the new-look Skype is now available for iPhones.

Unfortunately, other platforms will have to keep waiting for now. Microsoft said previously that "versions for Windows and Mac will be released over the next few months", and it hasn't yet provided a specific date for when that will happen.
