malebolgia Veteran Posted January 20, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 20, 2004 I'm updating the documentation for how to connect laptops to the CS department on campus with fun tutorials. Anyway I noticed that we don't have offer any support for macs though we allow them on the network. I already created a tutorial on how to find the MAC on an Apple, but when it comes to DHCP I'm not so sure. How do you setup DHCP for a Mac? That is assuming there is anything I have to setup. skywalker
Simply create a new network location and under "Configure IPv4" select "Using DHCP" on the TCP/IP tab in the network settings of your ethernet card. That's all. Don't forget to activate the new location ...
