z1ppeh
it costs me ?7 plus i normally tip about ?2 for everything i get so thats ?9 and the other ?1 is normally my bus fare home from the barbers. i dont see why people shoudl pay more than that for a haircut... no matter what style, its not like they are using much resources apart from a small amount of electricity and blunting their scissors... naap51stang
I couldn't tell you the price of a hair cut, since I haven't paid for a hair cut since Oct 1980, when my sister got her license! She pestered me all the time she was in hair school to let her cut my hair, and I said, show me the license. Nice....I get it cut MY way every time. I've had the same hair cutter for 23+ years. The fringe benefits are great also. Free shampoo, etc....... :alien:

Borbus
Its strange why do most of the americans give tips to their barber/hairdresser but we english don't. We don't give tips in cafes either. I only know that some people give tips in cafes because of Resevoir Dogs. @Toxikk - Believe me you will start to get annoyed with long hair. I had long hair up until recently. It gets harder and harder to go and get it cut the longer it gets because you develop a sort of attachment. I recommend you get it cut while its still short. Although if you are in a rock band or something then it will be ok.
Chris Allen Veteran Posted January 21, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2004 GIRLS! That's not that expensive actually. I know a girl who routinely spends $800 + on her hair every couple of months. Now THAT is crazy. Me; When I just need a trim - $12 + tip When I want a regular cut and highlights - $25 + tip When I want a professional cut and dye - $60-70 + tip All figures in CND. Blaise Veteran Posted January 21, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2004 25 years ago it cost $35US to get a haircut here at the "place" all the cool kids went :p My Father grew up in the depression and laughed at me when I wanted to go there when I was 8. I wound up always going to the $5 Baraber he went to :pinch: I pay $20 plus tip every 3 weeks and get a manicure every other visit for another $15US (no clear polish or anything, just have to have presentable nails). bayrider
anyone who goes to greatclips, magic cuts etc is a fool! i get my haircut by a lebanese barber, he charges $12 CDN and i leave him $15 and he does anying i tell him and im VERY picky. When i was in LA for a month this xmas i went to great clips and got my hair cut by this fat bitch who just got back from eating a burrito at Del Taco. I have thin side burns and she gets to trimming them and goes to me "wow you really butchered those side burns eh?"... these people have no sense of style either. BTW, she butchered my hair even when i gave her specific and precise instructions on how to cut my hair.

BTallack
I pay about 18bucks + tip (CAD) to get my hair cut. What's odd however, is that even though my hair is longer than most women I know, It's still cheaper to get my hair cut simply because I'm a guy. edit: you can check my profile if you want proof of my hair length. And all the girls are hotties... lol I remember the days as a pubescent teenager, when the girl would stand in front of me, and do the mirror to the back of the head, and ask "Look ok to you?" and I'd say, no, you'd missed a few hairs. And, instead of her walking around, she'd just reach around and bend to get the hairs... I'd walk out of the Great Clips, saying "Have a good nipple... Whoops, ######, I mean $hit." lol Edited January 21, 2004 by pimpshiznid
