amoeba
does bittorrent work all that well? ive tried downloading stuff off it before like redhat and it goes sooooooo slow It isn't a speed protocol. It's an "I know what I'm getting and I know I'm getting it correctly" I mean, you can get hundreds of k per second on BT if you find a populated torrent. MrStaticVoid
Bittorrent-TheShadow is great and it works well on linux. I have no idea where you can get it cause I just emerged it.
Aldatillian
Just download the official BT client here (Python, TARed). Extract and run ./btdownloadheadless <torrent>, it's that simple!
Rathamon
cheers , I the official client seems to work fine :)
pagal
official is garbage compared to bittorrent-theshadow...it opens the donation page, and has no speed controls. Mr. Static Void: "emerge -s bittorrent-theshadow" would give you the url of the site too...rizzo (of the developers of portage) put it back in portage yesterday) :D here's the site: http://bt.degreez.net (highly recommended)

semifamous
Bit Torrent has legitmate uses, especially when talking about huge ISOs for your favorite distro. It's *not* all about warez. Thank you. Please drive through.
pagal
yea...and i am sure its fine with neowin rules, othewise you'd never see links for every new build of K++ for past few years.
