pinhead
On an older system (P3 650Mhz, 256Mb RAM), I've installed Windows XP. Runs fine (if a little slow compared to a 1.Ghz P4 system), but the main problem is IE6 - it takes about 45 seconds to even show the about:blank page. This only happens when you first start the browser, or you close the browser down then re-open it. Starting a new browser window doesn't have the same problem (CTRL-N). Anyone got any ideas? BTW - I regulary clear the cache and temp files.
RazerBack
Under lan settings, make sure you aren't using a proxy server, or configuration script.
pinhead
Point taken - but it's behind a firewall and we have to use a proxy - don't have an option
pinhead
Sorted it! It was NAV2002. Since replacing it with McAfee Virus Scan Pro - it's acting like it should
MulletRobZ
I rather use Netscape 6.2.1, but NAV 2002 didn't interfere with IE 6 on my PC with Windows XP Pro Corporate!
