Insane month. Never heard of Hydro Thunder but looks like a HD make of one of my favourite PS1 games Rapid Racer. All in.

Not a very good month :/ Should have been FH2 or 3 and not the terrible FM5.

Only one I don't own is Hydro Thunder - I remember playing the trial and almost instantly deleting it. I too was reminded of Rapid Racer when it launched, but it's nowhere near in the same league.

Hopefully October is better.

If they add more than they take out on average, and the titles in the library are good, then the value and cost makes good sense for someone looking to pay once and binge on as many games as they can for a month or however long they feel like paying for.

Nothing that grabs my attention other than RE7, but I can hold off on that still, it'll go up on sale again for sure.

Ooh, got The Crews addon.  I finished the game on X1, got it on PC later but haven't put much time into it the second time around (actually, usually the case when I buy on a second platform apparently.  I guess I can stop doing that.)

I think the first Hydro Thunder was free before, or maybe it was that one. I think we have it.

Oxenfree is supposed to be real good. I got it on my phone, but I'm not sure I'll ever play it on the phone. I'm just not much of a phone gamer. I've tried the basic phone games, and they're okay for a minute or two, but for a real game, I wanna be looking at a monitor or a TV with a controller or mouse in my hand.

Hard pass on the other two, though I'll add 'em if I get Gold again in time because we got the 2TB XB1S so why not.

Wife's Gold expired a couple weeks ago. We got everything in August, and I guess we have until October 15 to re-up. Any good deals on Gold?

I have a question: I have Xbox 360 right now but can I get Forza 5 somehow using "Games with gold" but play later when I will get Xbox One?

Yes. Games with Gold games can be redeemed from Xbox.com here or from the Xbox 360 dashboard.

To do it from the 360, look for the advert on the 'Home' tab for Deals with Gold / Games with Gold, (currently the graphic for the deals is of Chun Li from Street Fighter with "save 75%" text). That will take you to two tabs of which one where you can browse the Games with Gold games. Select Forza 5 GOTY and choose "Get for Xbox One".

If you want to redeem the games from Xbox.com you will be asked to save a payment method to your account. However, you can redeem games from the Xbox 360 without a saved payment method.

Worth noting that SW Battlefront Season Pass is free. Worth claiming in any event they give away the game in GwG sometime. The Ultimate Edt of the game is super cheap if you'd rather buy now, though.

I remember playing, or trying to, virtual on in the arcades back in the day.   Could never win but hey, it was cool with the dual joystick setup and so on.

Hmm is the mass effect Andromeda delux edition at 40 euros worth it or should I just get the normal game at 20?  Because at 20 I figure it's worth it for sure.

Looking at what you get, I'd say probably not.

Looks to be a few weapons and outfits. If there were new areas to explore, then maybe.

That's what I figured, I'll just grab the game itself for 20e then.

Microsoft is working on a fix for 'Error code 6' crash on Microsoft Edge for Mac
      by Anmol Mehrotra

Microsoft has acknowledged an issue on Microsoft Edge for Mac that is causing the web browser to crash with 'Error code 6'.

Earlier this week, users took to Microsoft Answers forum (via Techdows) to report the issue with Edge on macOS Catalina. According to users, Microsoft Edge started crashing after updating to Safari 14. The browser crashes after opening a new tab, settings, and even Edge extensions, with the error, "The page is having a problem. Try coming back to it later”. It also suggests users to refresh the page or open a new tab but none of the workarounds solves the problem.

Fortunately, the Microsoft Edge Dev Twitter account has now confirmed that the culprit has been found and they are working on a fix that will roll out to Edge users in all the channels.

In the meantime, the Edge Dev team has suggested rebooting Mac as a temporary fix to the problem. Some users have tried reinstalling Microsoft Edge but that does not fix the problem and hence, is not advised. Unfortunately, we don't know what exactly caused the problem but we do expect Microsoft to shed light on the problem once the fix has rolled out to Mac users.

Microsoft details the features added and enhancements made to OneDrive in August
      by Abhay Venkatesh

Microsoft has published the monthly Roadmap Roundup for OneDrive for the month of August. The firm details the improvements being made to the cloud storage service. For this month, though, the Redmond company has also highlighted a few capabilities in the Office suite of apps that leverage the cloud for collaboration between users.

The first feature that the company details is the ability to create tasks in Word and Excel directly through comments. The firm has begun integrating Tasks throughout the productivity suite as a unified experience. Users can @ mention colleagues and assign tasks based on the requirements. There is also the option to reassign these tasks by replying to the comments. Since Tasks integrates with services like Teams, these additions make it easier to track assigned changes to documents and more.

Another area of improvement brought to the service includes changes to comment notifications. Users will now receive email notifications when any Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other files uploaded by them to OneDrive or SharePoint are commented on. Additionally, users can opt to turn off email notifications for files right from the email via a toggle, or through the details pane on OneDrive.

Lastly, the company recapped the launch of the updated OneDrive experience for the Surface Duo. The app is tailored to leverage the dual screens and improve functionality. It also supports drag and drop – so users can drag files directly from one screen to apps like Outlook running on the adjacent screen, easily attaching documents. It also works the other way around to help quickly save attachments to desired folders. The company adds that the OneDrive app is “is fully integrated into the Surface Duo operating system”.

You can earn these Destiny 2: Trials of Osiris rewards from September 18 to 22
      by Asher Madan

Every week, Destiny 2 hosts a Trials of Osiris event where teams of three compete for access to The Lighthouse. The Lighthouse promises Pinnacle rewards that boost you closer to the current 1060 Power Level cap.

The player vs. player competition also grants other items if you get three, five, or seven wins. However, you'll have to get seven wins in a row, without a loss, if you want to grab the Pinnacle gear from The Lighthouse. You can take a look at the Trials of Osiris rewards from September 18 to 22 below.

Three wins: Eye of Sol legendary sniper rifle Five wins: Mark of the Exile legendary armor Seven wins: The Summoner legendary auto rifle Flawless: Legs of Exile legendary armor Trials of Osiris starts at 1 PM EDT on Friday and lasts until 1 PM EDT on Tuesday. You can use the Passage of Mercy from Saint-14 because it forgives one loss if you're aiming for Flawless. If you manage to get seven wins in a row, you'll have to manually select The Lighthouse location displayed in the Crucible menu to obtain the Pinnacle reward. This involves jumping across a few platforms and opening the chest where Saint-14 and Osiris are standing.
