Unannounced BlackBerry 'Krypton' handset exposed in new image

TCL has done a great job over the past year rejuvenating the BlackBerry brand with its single entry, the KEYone. Since its official debut at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the smartphone has been selling quite well and the firm has been vocal about plans for another device in October.

While there aren't many details, what is known so far is that the unit will not have a physical keyboard like the KEYone and will instead feature a face that is all screen. Although we won't get to see the front of the device today, an alleged image of the handset has apparently appeared online, showing off the rear and its camera.

The handset, currently known as Krypton, packs a smaller camera lens than the KEYone and also relies on a single LED flash. From the image, we can also see that that metallic cut out at the top is much larger and also has a brushed look. Lastly, unlike the carbon fiber weave pattern that was quite subtle on the KEYone, the new phone looks to offer something a bit more prominent.

Luckily, we won't have to wait long to find out more about the handset, as it is slated to be announced sometime in October.
