Guest
Hi People, Just the latest version of Mandrake linux and all i can say is wow :) I do have some questions about software and configuration. So if you could all be kind enough to help :) i would be gratefull :) Were can i get a mac osx like dock for linux? And why is it that when install a browser like opera or firebird and goto a website the font size is small its really unreadable, i could go in the options and make the font bigger. But then the sites dont look right. I am using Konqueror at the moment and this does not seem to have the same problem? Thanks for your help :D

pagal
for browser fonts, you'll need to get the fonts from your c:\windows\fonts directory and put them in either /home/youruser/.fonts OR /usr/share/fonts and restart X. If you are not dual-booting, then get one of your friends to zip up their fonts and send then to you. as for the osx like dock, i believe the program is called karamba (for KDE) OR gDesklets (for gnome).
