Scheduling Tasks To Run At Regular Intervals

Recommended Posts

I'd like to be able to setup a scheduled task to run at a small interval, such as every 10 or 30 minutes. Does anybody know a good way to do this using Winodws XP?

From what I can tell, the Windows Task Scheduler doesn't support such small intervals (the closest is once per day). I really don't want to have to setup 48 tasks to be able to run something every half an hour of every day.... there must be a better way.

I'm really picky about constantly running programs (like a 3rd party scheduler)... I don't like the added startup time or resource usage. If there's a way to do it without using something like this, I'd really like to know.

Any help? Thanks in advance...

Gideon's roommate says :

If you create a new schedule using the Windows Task Scheduler, then right-click on it and choose Properties, you have greater control over the schedule settings. Specifically, you need to go to the Schedule tab and then click the Advanced button. From there, you can setup a schedule with much greater detail.

Thank you Gideon's roommate. You are soooooo smart!

Gideon's roommate then adds :

Yes, I know. You should all visit www.Profeval.com and you can be smart like me, too!
